On February 12 and 13, the Automotive Fleet Leasing Association (AFLA) presented the first fleet summit of the year and the first of its kind, held in our country. And we tell you all the details on this note.

AFLA Canada 2020 Fleet Summit, North American best practices and benchmarking conference, was held at the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites in Mississauga, ON. The event was extremely well attended with the engaging topics, renowned speakers and panelists that the organization brought for all attendees.

The event started with the words of Katie Keeton, AFLA President, who offered a warm welcome and gave the pass to Keith McLaughlin (Canadian Automotive Fleet), who presented the first conference of the event: The Top Automotive Trends and their Impact on the Commercial Fleet Market.

Identifying and Implementing Fleet Best Practices in Canada was the next topic where Gary Bruce (Wheels Inc.) was the moderator, and Ryan Craig (3M Canada), Anne Contala (AstraZeneca), and Jon Grant (G4S Canada) the panelists.

After a productive lunch, the theme Best Practices in Safety Management was developed, presented by Eliot Bensel (Element CEI). And then, we listened to Cindy Chesney (Arbor Memorial), Barb Tilly (Ford), Sarah Hansen (WOOD E&IS), Karen Mongelli (Black & McDonald, and Caroline Costello (Utilimaster) in the conversation: Women in Fleet Management (WIFM).

The last presentation of the afternoon was led by Karen Mongelli (Black & McDonald) who introduced the topic: Order-to-Delivery Issues.

After this productive but busy day, the organizers of this incredible event invited us to share in a cocktail presented by Element / CEI, followed by a tasty dinner that would close the first day of the AFLA Canada 2020 Fleet Summit.

Stay tuned because tomorrow we will bring you all the details of the second day.
