In the shop, we offer a variety of service solutions to our valued clients. From routine mechanical inspections, parts replacement, body work and refinishing, detailing, and much more. Today, we want to specifically focus on telling you more about our Up-Fitting process.

At BDS we work with all types of customers, with fleets of vehicles that range in size and layout. That’s why each project we work on is unique and is designed based on the needs of our clients.

Usually, the Up-Fitting process follows certain stages, which we share below:

Meeting with the client to review the needs and scope of the project.

As we mentioned before, each client is unique, each vehicle is different, and each work team has different needs. Having a virtual or face-to-face meeting with the project manager and our technical team is vital to understanding the scope and opportunities of the project.

Sourcing the correct parts and equipment for the project and quoting accordingly.

At BDS, we have a vast network of strategic partners that allow us to find the right equipment for our up-fits, while maintaining the best quality and competitive costs For special projects, we can also custom design, build and install the required components.

Coordinate the logistics to move the customer’s vehicles to the shop.

Our  drivers have many years of experience and can move units from anywhere in the country. With just a quick call or confirmation email, we’ll be ready to bring the units to the shop.

Installation of parts and equipment in vehicles.

Specialized technicians working in our Up-Fitting department ensure that all equipment is installed to our high standard of quality and workmanship.

Review and approve the Up-Fitting project by management.

Once the project is completed, our Project Manager completes a final review alongside our Up-Fitting team leader. This final step includes a quality control check and review of the project checklist, ensuring that we have a good install and all steps have been made completed

Deliver the vehicles to the customer.

This is the last step, but not the least. Although our clients can visit us in the shop and review the project together, we can also move the vehicles where they’re needed. Additionally, a project summary will be prepared for our client with all project information, costs, and photos.

As you can see, there are several steps to follow, all in the quest to deliver functional projects with the best results. However, many of these steps or the order of them can vary depending on the project and the needs of our clients.
