We are only a few days away from the end of the year, which is a great time to review the important events of 2020 and to thank our staff and clients for their incredible support.
As we all know, 2020 was a different year, full of uncertainty but also many lessons. COVID-19 came into our lives and changed the social dynamics, routines, jobs, activities, and the way we were accustomed to doing things.
At the shop, we also had to adapt. The moment we heard of the preventative measures set out by Public Health Ontario to prevent and help stop the spread of COVID-19, our president Brij Sharma went above and beyond to take care of our business, employees, and our clients.
The first of our additional actions was hiring a medical director to guide us in all the measures we should take within our workplace to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Adjustments in work teams, changes in schedules, telework options, variations in cleaning protocols, and a reduction in the number of external public in the facilities were just some of the protocols that were put into place to keep our business running safely and responsibly.
While many things have changed, the entire team at BDS are grateful as this year we have diversified our services and offered new solutions to our clients.
Vehicle decommissioning, refurbishing and up-fitting were some of the fleet solutions we further developed this year. We successfully completed complex projects which brought our team new challenges and countless opportunities to demonstrate what we are capable of at BDS Fleet Service.
Also, our President, with the support of BDS staff, created and developed a new product focused 100% on protecting against the spread of COVID-19. Expert Shields, a product that we recommend you try, is a clear vinyl sheet that allows the driver and passenger space to be safely separated without compromising the structural integrity or safety of the vehicles.
A few words from our President and CEO Brij Sharma reflecting on 2020:
“Don’t dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer. This quote is something that has stuck with me during this very difficult year. I’m so proud of our team for their efforts. We have grown stronger together through the ups and downs of 2020. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to our customers as we have continued to earn their business and support.”
We end this note with a deep appreciation for our employees, friends and loyal customers. All of you made it possible for BDS Fleet Service to continue operating. We are ready and excited to get started in 2021.
We hope that you all enjoy the holidays in the company of your loved ones and that the coming year will be full of blessings, health and much prosperity for all of you.
Happy Holidays!
