As we promised in the previous note, here we tell you everything related to the second day at the AFLA Canada 2020 Fleet Summit.

After sharing breakfast with different colleagues in the industry, we prepared to listen to the first talk of the day: Understanding the Fleet Liability Exposure of Cannabis Legalization, presented by Jennifer Babe, Sandra Gogal and Hugh Dyer, all from  Miller Thomson LLP. A theme focused on the legislation that legalized marijuana throughout the country, accompanied by the implications and indirect responsibility of the use of marijuana by fleet drivers.

Donlen was the sponsor of the next talk of the day, which was given by Eli Rossiter and focused on Best Practices in Mobility and Alternative Fleet Transportation Solutions.

After this engaging topic, we listened to the conference: Remarketing Strategies to Maximize Your Resale Dollars. Keith McLaughlin (Canadian Automotive Fleet) was the moderator and Gerry Corcoran (JP Lease), Tim McGee (Element), Claudio De Angelis (FOSS), and Kim Miller (ADESA) shared their thoughts as panelists.

Following a productive networking lunch and approaching the end of the event, the GEOTAB sponsored talk, How to Create a Data Analytics Roadmap Using Telematics Technology, was presented. This presentation was developed by Mr. Colin Sutherland (GEOTAB).

Then, Wayne Rose (JP Lease) & Sarah Hansen (WOOD E&IS) introduced the topic: Understanding the Differences Between the Canadian and U.S. Fleet Markets, a session that explored the differences and similarities between the management of fleets in the United States and Canada.

The last talk of the day was Canadian Regulation & Government Policy – Where we are now and where we are going and was presented by Oumar Dicko (Impact Public Affairs), where some of the legislative and regulatory issues surrounding the current state of the fleet industry were discussed.

After these two days immersed in the world of fleets, we only have to thank AFLA for this wonderful event, and our team members Imran Mohammed and Nicole Prado who attended this successful event and brought us all this interesting information.
